London Silver Dolphins Three-peat as Provincial Champions

The London Silver Dolphins are the Ontario provincial masters swimming team champions for the 3rd year in a row. The team was led by two relay teams, each of whom established new world bests. The relay team of Sandie McTavish, Rob Stoddart, Brian Finlay and Linda Quigley established a new world best in the Mixed 4 x 200 Medley Relay for the 240 age group – shattering the old mark by over 2 minutes. And not to be out done, John Waring, Matt Stewart, Paul Cappa, and Manny Pardo eclipsed the previous world mark in the Men’s 4 x200 medley relay in the 160 age group.

Seventy two London swimmers, ranging in age from 19 to 67, competed in the

2008 Masters Swimming Championships in Etobicoke, Ontario over the weekend of March 28th. In total, the Dolphins captured 183 Top 3 finishes over the course of the 3 day swimming competition. The meet attracted over 800 athletes from across Canada and the United States.
