At our annual Awards party, this year held at Barakat, Joanna and her daughter, Julia, accept the Coach’s Award, which Joanna shared with Cathy Heighway.Alex won the team spirit Award.Christina and Steve won the bocce championship.
Coach Vince headed to Yellowknife, NT on June 1st to spend the summer playing with rocks as he pursues his career in Geology.Jenna Roman will be coaching our brief outdoor season at Thames.In Jenna’s words:“I was a competitive swimmer for 11 years with the London Aquatic Club, competing at the national level multiple times. After switching school paths this past year, I will be attending Fanshawe in the fall for Accounting. I’m passionate about nutrition and fitness, and am excited to fill in as your coach for the rest of the season.”

Gail was declared the Champ with a 1 pin victory over Matt.But Gail’s grasp on the trophy was short-lived!As time permitted a 3rd game, Laura bowled 3 strikes in row (a turkey!) to steal the trophy from Gail.Life lesson learned: Never award the prize until the last ball is bowled!
London Silver Dolphins welcome new swimmers at any time during the swim season.Perhaps you have made a New Year’s resolution to improve your fitness level?You may be a triathlete who could benefit from some coaching and stroke improvement? Or a former age group swimmer who wants to return to the pool?Or a parent who wants to race his/her kids at the lake?ALL are welcome to join our club, as long as you are 18 years of age or older and able to swim 200 meters non-stop.

Dolphins ROCK Provincials. 23 Dolphins swam fast and furious to finish 6th of 64 teams at Provincials! Salmon Family relay makes history. Brayden Salmon wins 6.At NATIONALS, her 18th consecutive Nationals! Virginia won gold in the 1500, silver in the 800 and ribboned in 4 other events. Chuck won gold, silver, bronze.Now we begin our brief OUTDOOR/long course season—starting Monday, May 29th, ending June 29th. We swim Monday and Thursday evenings at 6. Cost $60. Come on SUNSHINE!
