Monday, November 24, 2014 Join us for an afternoon of fun at the Palasad (Adelaide and Oxford) on Sunday December 7th from 1-4 pm. ..we have a ‘semi-private’ area and three lanes reserved for bowling…families welcome…tickets are $20 per adult and $15 for kids…includes food and bowling…I think a trophy is on the line for top score…we need at least 20 adults and 10 kids to make it work…please let Glen Tigert know if you’re going at and get payment to Nick, Spence, Glen or Jay

Monday, November 17, 2014Practice is cancelled on Saturday, November 22 due to the Nothers Swim Meet…practice on Sunday, November 23 is at Carling Heights Pool from 9 – 10 am. Also, we will have a general membership meeting on Thursday, November 27 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm (before practice) in the upstairs meeting room at CGAC…the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the changes that have taken place this season and how we are moving forward.

UWO needs timers for upcoming varsity meets

Thursday, November 6, 2014 Sunday, November 16 – tri meet: Western vs. U of Alberta and U of Guelph.  Session starts at 12 p.m. so would need timers there by 11:20 a.m.  This is a short meet, probably about 2 hours. Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23 – Stratten Division Meet.  This is the top five varsity teams in Ontario – should be fast and fun!  Saturday session starts at 4:30 p.m. – timers on deck by 3:50 p.m.  Sunday session starts at 10:30 a.m. – timers on deck by 9:50 a.m.  I am guessing these sessions will run 3 hours...


Changes at CGAC

Wednesday, October 29, 2014Hi Team,There are a few changes to the CGAC that affect our team. In an effort to eliminate the rampant theft issues that have plagued the aquatic center all teams have now been issued swipe cards for their members. I will be dispensing these cards at practice tonight and before practice over the next week or so. Try to make it out soon so this card thing doesn’t drag on.You will have swipe card access 15min before practice and up to the end of practice, that’s it. No in and out privileges throughout the day, practice times...


Silver Dolphin Coaching Update

Monday, October 27, 2014 I’m pleased to announce that Jay Nolan has agreed to step back into the Head Coach role for the Silver Dolphins. Jay has been involved in coaching the team for more than ten years now, and led our team to victory in the Ontario Masters Swimming Championships in 2006, 2007 and 2008.  We appreciate his enthusiasm and dedication to the pod!  We plan to have Liz Moskal continue on as back-up/alternate coach. Jay or Liz will be on deck Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on November 3 when we return to CGAC.  On the weekends, we will...


Head Coach of the pod, Ken is moving on

Thursday, October 23, 2014After five years as Head Coach of the pod, Ken is moving on!  He has been offered the opportunity to manage the Western University pool. This, unfortunately, will require Ken to step down as LSD coach. I want to thank Ken for his contribution to the Silver Dolphins. We have been fortunate to have a coach of such high caliber and experience. During his tenure, we won the Ontario Masters Swimming Championship in 2010, 2013 and 2014. We also won the Canadian Masters Swimming Championship for the first time in 2014. Who knows what the future brings,...
